I’ve been model stitching for The Stitch Niche on and off for several years. Last year I realized that although I love the craft of stitching I don’t much care what happens with the finished projects. Since then all of my stitching has been models. I mostly let them pick but occasionally I see something I just need to make.
This project is one that Deb and Kim picked out for me. They know how much I love Halloween. In fact, if you’re ever in the shop check out their Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow. I did that!
Anyway, this is Scary Sampler by Heartstrings Samplery. It’s awesome. The overall sampler is an ode to the classic mourning samplers of yesteryear but if you look closely you’ll see that the motifs are call outs to the designers favorite science fiction books, movies, and shows. Yep, that is, in fact, The Death Star.
