Review: The Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When the book opens we meet a girl who is being interviewed by two police detectives. As she shares her story we learn that she was taken captive by The Gardener. The Gardener, a wealthy sadist, has an odd obsession, he loves butterflies. In fact, he loves them so much he has created a special hidden garden where he collects and preserves them. Of course by butterflies, we're not talking insects, no, we're talking kidnapped young women that he tattoos with butterfly wings.

The girl, Maya, slowly shares her story and the stories of the other girls. But as they listen and learn the police are pretty sure there's something she's not telling.

This book was well written, and super creepy. It wasn't perfect but I loved it all the same. There's another book in the series now and both are available from Kindle Unlimited!
