I received this ebook for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Having said that, I wouldn't keep reading this series if I didn't enjoy it.
The "If You Were Me and Lived in ...." series are little slices of history with brightly colored illustrations and fairly accurate information. They are an excellent introduction to different countries, cultures and time periods for young readers. In ...the Middle Ages, the reader travels back in time to learn about the life of a young woman, who tells the reader all about what the world was like for a young person of her station.
These books include vocabulary words, age-appropriate descriptions of historical events, and an overview of what life was like at home. I think they will be an excellent way to get children interested in history; and also a way to show them that even though people and places may be different, we all still have things in common.
