It's been about 5 years since the last time I felt the desire to blog.  I guess not much that I thought was interesting was going on. 

I've had some upheaval in my life recently.  I moved in with my boyfriend and his 4 year old daughter.  Me.  The person who has never had any interest in having kids is now a wicked almost stepmother.

Adjustment is still in progress.  There are plenty of things that the microbe does that annoy me.  The house is never quiet.  She changes her mind on what she wants to eat on a daily basis.  The house is never tidy.  But then there are the sometimes that she's kinda cute.

So I'm planning on writing down the good times and the bad, and using this blog to whine and bitch.  I'll also post about my knitting, and possibly my cross stitch if I ever pick that up again.

I'm currently knitting the Great American Aran Afghan, a pair of socks based on one of Wendy's free patterns, and a Mizzle Shawl.  Progress photos to come.
